Some of the best parties happen out of bounds. In warehouses, derelict spaces and out-of-the-way places, dance music culture is known to flourish. Acid house and baile funk were born from just such melting pots. We decided to take a look at some of the most notorious raves, warehouse parties and illegal events of all time, from the underground club that united citizens of East and West Berlin, to the Fraggle Rock-style Ketamine freak-out that unfolded in the New York of the late ‘80s.
