20 Years of Pride
Melbourne's iconic annual Pride March recognises and celebrates Victoria's gay, lesbian, bisexual, intersex and transgender community, while remembering the road we have already travelled on this journey to equality. Pride March celebrates its 20th Anniversary on Sun 01 Feb 2015 with the theme 20 Years of Pride.
Come and join 132 groups and individuals as we march down Fitzroy Street in St Kilda, with all the colour and excitement you have come to expect plus the added flavour of this special anniversary celebration. See the original marchers lead us out again and celebrate our first timers.
The Pride March starts in the park on the corner of Lakeside Drive & Fitzroy Street and goes along Fitzroy Street, terminating in the Catani Gardens on the St Kilda foreshore, where the energy and pride will continue for a family-friendly, dynamic picnic in the park. Local traders will be selling delicious, delectable and devilishly good picnic baskets. As the Catani Gardens celebrations come to a close, the after-party fires up with shows, DJs and more at the GH Hotel.
